A Turaph is a cross breed between a sea turtle and a giraffe. This specifc truaph was created out of a plactic bag base. Surrounding the plastic bag body with a wire shell as a guard the fins were added next. The fins being made with a wire outline with a newspaper filling and tape seal. After the fins are completely attached, four wires created a cylinder outline shape for the neck. The neck then being filled and wrapped in newspaper was attacked to a hole in the front of the body. Next a tin foil ball was wrapped in tape to smooth the edges and wire ears with wire antlers were attached. Adding a tape mussel the head was complete and attached to the neck with tape and hot glue. Once the body was formed it was covered in a layer of paper mache and painted with acrylic paints.
